FRIENDS OF PARC SAFARI FOUNDATION
What is the foundation?
The Friends of Parc Safari Foundation was created to ensure the sustainability of the zoological vocation of Parc Safari. The foundation manages all zoological activities, from the renewal of zoological infrastructures to collaboration protocols for the preservation of endangered species and worldwide biodiversity.
The objectives of the foundation
Provide for the short, medium and long term needs of the animals
Modernize the presentation framework
Develop and update educational programs for students and the general public
Organize and perfect enrichment programs for the animals
Zoological initiaves
Reproduction and protection of endangered species under the international treaty CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and in compliance with the standards of CAZA (Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums).
Collaboration with other zoological institutions around the world to maintain and improve the genetic health of endangered species, and contribution to release programs in protected areas.
