The lion is the only large feline that lives in groups. The group is called a Pride. The females take care of the hunt while the males protect the cubs and defend the territory. The males will sometimes help the females take down a bigger prey.

White lions are very rare. Both parents must carry a recessive gene and and pass it on to their cubs for them to be white. White lions are not albino, but leucistic. Their eyes and skin are pigmented but their fur is not.
