For over 50 years, Parc Safari has been a part of many Quebec families’ summer memories. Today, we are embarking on a significant new chapter in our history.
A transition towards a more boreal safari
In recent months, some African species have progressively left the park to join zoological institutions with climates better suited to their needs.
This decision is part of a long-term vision: to develop an experience more focused on species adapted to Quebec’s climate and to make Parc Safari a year-round animal destination, designed for all four seasons.
Our objective is clear: to create a modern, immersive, and evolving Parc Safari, where animal welfare remains at the heart of every decision.
A season of transition… but also of new features
Even though 2026 represents a year of transition, several new features are already in place, and others will arrive in the coming weeks.
Among the experiences to discover this summer:
- a redesigned Safari Adventure with new animal species
- the famous big cat tunnel, which now hosts cougars, snow leopards, and lynx
- the Deer Valley, an immersive family experience
- our aquatic areas with heated pools
- the Discoveries Pavilion
- free inflatable games for families
- as well as several improvements made throughout the site
Since the beginning of the season, our teams have also been working to improve the park’s overall experience:
- cleaning and modernization of several sectors
- addition of new visual works and design elements throughout the park
- improvement of the general presentation of facilities
- preparation of new habitats and upcoming spaces
You will also notice several visual changes throughout the park as we continue this evolution towards a more boreal and immersive experience.
More new features to come
Parc Safari will continue to evolve over the coming months and years.
New species will arrive soon, and several major projects are already under development to progressively transform the park into a year-round family animal destination.
We know that many visitors grew up with the classic image of Parc Safari, and we are grateful to continue this adventure with you as the park enters a new era.
