Privacy Policy
Parc Safari Boréal is committed to respecting the privacy of its customers and guests (“you” and “your”). The Parc Safari Boréal Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) concerns the personal information that Parc Safari Boréal collects online, in person, through its call centers, or otherwise.
“Personal Information” is information associated with an identifiable person or household. Personal Information does not include information about a business or aggregated anonymous information that cannot be associated with a particular individual.
This Policy does not apply to information relating to Parc Safari Boréal employees or non-personal information.
THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW IT IS USED
Parc Safari Boréal collects Personal Information in the course of conducting its resort activities. We use this information to provide you with the best possible quality of service and to meet reasonable business needs.
>(a) We collect your Personal Information when you purchase an admission ticket or an annual pass.
When you purchase a product or service, make a reservation, or register for a program, we collect Personal Information to complete the transaction and administer the purchase or program. We may also send you information related to your purchase or reservation. For example, if you make a reservation at one of our resorts, we may send you information about ongoing activities, events, or offers at the resort during your visit. The information we may collect and use for these purposes includes, but is not limited to:
- your name and contact details to identify and communicate with you;
- your payment card information to process transactions related to the purchase of park admission tickets;
- your age and/or date of birth to ensure appropriate product pricing and to learn more about who benefits from our products and services;
- your gender to verify your identity, provide appropriate services, such as equipment rental, and to learn more about who benefits from our products and services;
- your status as a parent or guardian of a minor guest, if applicable;
- your transaction history to manage your purchases and to learn more about how you interact with our products.
- In some cases, you may provide us with Personal Information about a family member or another individual. When you provide us with Personal Information relating to an individual other than yourself, you represent that you have their consent to disclose their Personal Information for the purposes described in this Policy.
> (b) We collect your Personal Information when you visit our park and use our tickets.
When you purchase or use our Parc Safari Boréal admission tickets, we may collect information regarding your geographical location, activities, and purchases made while you are at Parc Safari Boréal. Our tickets use handheld scanner technology. By using this technology, we may be able to collect limited information regarding your location within the center and, if a payment card is linked to your ticket, other commercial transactions you make in one of our stores or restaurants. We use this information to understand how our guests use our centers and to understand your personal preferences.
Depending on your marketing preferences, we may also use your Personal Information to send you offers, invitations, and promotions related to our centers, products, services, or programs that we believe may be of interest to you. For example, we may monitor your commercial transactions or your browsing habits on our websites or at our centers, which could determine the types of special offers and personalized promotions we send you.
Some of our resorts may use video surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of our guests, employees, and premises. We will retain video recordings for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
> (c) We collect your personal information when you submit an inquiry, respond to a guest survey, or provide feedback
We may collect your name, contact information, comments, or questions when you submit an inquiry or feedback, or otherwise provide us with feedback about our business. We may also collect information related to your experience at one of our mountain destinations or using our products or services as part of a customer satisfaction survey. These surveys may include optional questions about your income or gender which, if answered, help us learn more about our customers and how we can improve our business and public engagement in snow sports. We may use this information to answer your question and to improve our business, products, services, and programs.
> (d) We collect your personal information when you participate in a marketing initiative
We may collect your name, contact information, and age or date of birth if you choose to participate in a marketing initiative such as a contest, sweepstakes, or other promotion. In some cases, we may ask you specific questions to learn about your preferences or to get your feedback on our business, products, services, and programs. We use this information to administer the promotion, including communicating with winners and announcing winners’ identities (if applicable), to improve our business, products, services, and programs, and for marketing initiatives, such as offers or promotions related to Parc Safari Boréal and its products, services, or programs that we believe may be of interest to you, based on your marketing preferences.
> (e) We collect your Personal Information when you call our call center or when we call you
We may record inbound and outbound calls from our call centers for accurate record-keeping, quality assurance, and training purposes. We will retain call recordings for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
> (f) We collect your Personal Information from third parties
If you reside in the United States, we may also supplement the Personal Information you provide to us with information we obtain from third parties.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH COOKIES OR OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
When you visit one of our websites, your web browser sends us certain information depending on the browser you use and your security settings. This information may include your IP address, the name and version of the operating system you are using, the name and version of the web browser you are using, and other technical data. It may also allow us to know if you accessed our website from a computer or mobile device and to know when you open emails we send you, the date, time, and duration of your visit, and your geolocation data. This data provided by your web browser facilitates the administration, traffic transfer, and verification of our system. It also allows us to better understand the specific characteristics of our guests, how they use our services, and what we can do to improve the user experience. We may use this information to offer you products and services and to compile aggregate statistics. This helps us improve your experience both online and at our resorts.
We also use “cookies” to personalize your website experience by adapting content to align with your browsing habits. Cookies are small pieces of data installed on your hard drive that transmit information to us about your online browsing habits, including your login and browsing history, the buttons you click, and your personal preferences. Cookies also tell us which account a user is logged into on one of our websites, and this information allows us to protect your information by ensuring that your personal preferences are only displayed when you are actually logged in. If you instruct the parcsafari.com website to “remember me” or save your preferences, this information is stored using cookies. Some cookies are also necessary to support transaction functionality (for example, adding items to your cart).
We may partner with advertising networks (such as Google AdWords and Facebook Ads) that use cookies and similar technologies to track your use of our websites and other websites so that they provide advertising about products and services based on your presumed interests. This advertising may appear on our website(s) or on other websites. Some of the technologies used by our advertising networks use separate cookies or other tracking technologies that may be transmitted to your device when you visit our websites, use our Applications, or open emails from us. These advertising technologies are governed by the privacy policies of external advertising networks, and you should contact them directly to opt out of their list. Please contact us for this information. Several of the external advertising networks may be members of the “Network Advertising Initiative” (NAI). If they are, you have the option to opt out. For more information on NAI members and how to opt out, please visit: https://thenai.org/opt-out/ (English only).
We may also use services, such as Google, Adobe Analytics, and Facebook, which also use cookies and similar technologies, to provide us with information about how you use content on our websites. For example, the content of the web page you clicked on, the duration of your visit to our website, and the website you visited before ours.
We may also allow the use of social media plugins, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. When you visit a page on our website that contains a social plugin, your internet browser sends information to that social plugin, and that plugin sends content directly to your internet browser, which lets it know that you have accessed a page on one of our websites or applications. For more information on the use of social plugins by a third party and their potential impact on your privacy, please consult the third party’s privacy policy.
A web beacon is a tiny graphic file with a unique identifier that is embedded in the code of a web page. We use web beacons to count visitors to our websites and to monitor traffic movements within our website, to communicate with cookies, to understand how you access our sites, and to improve site performance. Web beacons help us measure the effectiveness of our content and other types of offers.
You can choose to disable cookies by accessing the preferences menu of your web browser. If you disable cookies, we will still be able to track your browsing history during a given visit to our websites. However, we will no longer be able to link you to the history of each of your visits, as you will be considered a new visitor each time you access one of our websites. Although web beacons will then no longer be able to track your activity on our websites, it is still possible that web beacons may track your activity from your IP address. Please be aware that disabling cookies may also disable certain website functionalities that could compromise its proper functioning.
To better understand your interaction with our website across multiple devices and to effectively deliver personalized promotions, we participate in the “Adobe Marketing Cloud Device Co-op” program. Visit https://cross-device-privacy.adobe.com/ to learn more about how Adobe does this and to manage your choices regarding the linking of your devices.
We may place links to third-party sites on our websites. By clicking on these third-party links, you leave our website. This Policy does not apply to third-party sites or the information you provide on those sites.
WHEN DO WE COMBINE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may combine the Personal Information you provide to us, or that we collect, to better understand your needs, requirements, and personal preferences in order to improve our business, products, services, and programs and to optimize the quality of your experience when you visit our resorts or when you interact with a team member, call center representative, agent, or other authorized third party.
We may also use this information to send you offers, invitations, and promotions related to our resorts, products, services, or programs that we believe may be of interest to you. For example, we may monitor your commercial transactions or your browsing habits on our websites or at our Park, which could determine the types of special offers and personalized promotions we send you.

YOUR CONSENT
We collect, use, and disclose your Personal Information as described in this Policy and with your consent, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. We may be compelled or authorized by law or regulation to collect, use, or disclose your Personal Information without your consent, for example, to comply with a court order, to recover a debt you owe us, or if there is an imminent threat to an individual’s health, safety, or well-being.
Your consent can be explicit (expressed, for example, verbally, in writing, or electronically) or your consent can be reasonably inferred from something you do (for example, by using our website, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Policy). In some cases, an authorized representative may consent on your behalf. In the case of a minor child, a parent or legal guardian may consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of a minor’s Personal Information.
Subject to certain legal or contractual restrictions, you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. However, withdrawing your consent may affect your experience and our ability to provide you with products or services, or to serve you promptly and correctly, whether online or through our service agents.
If you object to the online collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Policy, do not use our website.
HOW TO MANAGE YOUR MARKETING PREFERENCES
